It was my second visit to the office of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, where I had the privilege of meeting Janab Mahmood Asad Madani ji. Janab Mahmood Asad Madani is an eminent Indian Islamic scholar, activist, politician, and the president of the Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind. During our meeting, I was impressed by his patriotic spirit and his deep-rooted commitment to the values enshrined in the preamble of the Indian Constitution.
I wholeheartedly support and
admire Janab Mahmood Asad Madani ji's views regarding the real realization of
the preamble of the Indian Constitution. We also touched upon the topic of the
Common Civil Code, and it was unanimously agreed upon by all Hindus present in
the meeting that it goes against the inclusive and diverse values of Sanatan
Dharma.
In addition to our discussion, I
would like to draw your attention to the following link https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hindu_marriage_laws_in_Pakistan
that sheds further light on the subject.
Towards the end of our meeting,
Mr. Abhishek Srivastava expounded upon the relationship between the state and
society. He emphasized the importance of cultivating resilience among citizens
to ensure accountability and genuine responsibility within the institutions of
the state. Mr. Srivastava stressed that these values are deeply rooted in our
civilization, which spans over five thousand years. I would like to express my
gratitude to Prof. Ratan Lal, Pushparaj Deshpande (the Director of the
Samruddha Bharat Foundation), Dr. Mohanlal Panda, Abhishek Srivastava, Shruti
Nagvanshi, and the team members of Mr. Vincent Manoharan for their valuable
contributions to the discussion.
It is heartening to learn that
Janab Mahmood Asad Madani ji had a meeting with Sri Mohan Bhagwat of the
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). This exchange is a testament to the timeless
wisdom of Buddha, who said, "Hatred does not cease by hatred, but only by
love; this is the eternal rule." It is worth mentioning that I also
briefed Janab Mahmood Asad Madani ji about the Neo Dalit movement and our
active participation in the Bharat Jodo Yatra.
Overall, my meeting with Janab
Mahmood Asad Madani ji was enlightening, and it reinforced my belief in the
importance of upholding the values of the Indian Constitution and embracing
diversity and inclusivity in our society.
