The challenges we face, from bureaucratic obstacles to the overpowering influence of entrenched networks, remind us of the critical need for transparency, accountability, and genuine support for human rights defenders (HRDs) in India. As we work to protect HRDs and demand reform, may the spirit of Diwali inspire courage in the face of adversity and rekindle the strength to pursue justice.
