Demand: to declare 9 December as International Human Rights Defenders days by UN Secretary General

PVCHR tirelessly advocated this idea to NHRC and different policy makers in world including UN. It is first time on 9 December 2011, NHRC declared 9 December as Human Rights Defenders Day.

Now, in 2015 after 4 years UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights defenders Mr.Michel Forst observed 9 December as International Human Rights Defenders Day.

PVCHR appeals policy makers at global level to bring special session of UN General Assembly on Human Rights Defenders, who are busy as earthworm to fertile grass roots for pluralistic democracy based on rule of law & dignity. There is urgent situation to declare 9 December as International Human Rights Defenders days by UN Secretary General.
