Celebrating 32 Years of Love and Activism: A Journey of Resilience and Dedication

"Eternal Bond: A Journey of Love and Activism"

In the tapestry of time, our story unfolds,

A saga of love, activism, and dreams untold.

Hand in hand, we tread this path divine,

With hearts entwined, our spirits align.

From the moment our souls intertwined,

A bond forged in stars, a union defined.

Through trials and triumphs, side by side,

We journeyed forth with unwavering pride.

On serendipitous days, our love was sealed,

In the embrace of destiny, our fate revealed.

With each passing year, our bond grew strong,

A melody of togetherness, an eternal song.

In the tapestry of time, our legacy is etched,

In every act of kindness, in every life touched.

From the corridors of power to the streets we roam,

Champions of justice, making the world our home.

Through the highs and lows, we've stood tall,

Facing life's storms, breaking down every wall.

With courage as our compass, and love as our guide,

We've journeyed together, side by side.

So here's to us, on this anniversary dear,

A celebration of love, and a vision clear.

May our bond endure, through all space and time,

A beacon of hope, an eternal paradigm.

As I sit down to articulate these sentiments, my heart swells with a tapestry of emotions, reflecting upon the extraordinary odyssey that Shruti Nagvanshi and I have embarked upon together. Today, on the auspicious occasion of our 32nd anniversary of life partnership, memories cascade like a vibrant river, carrying with them the essence of our shared struggles, triumphs, and unwavering commitment.

It was on the serendipitous day of February 22, 1992, that Shruti and I laid the cornerstone of our union. The universe seemed to smile upon us, blessing our inception with a grand celebration. Beyond our personal journey, our partnership extended into the realm of social work. On October 28, 1992, we organized a program where Swami Agnivesh graced us as the chief guest, marking the commencement of our joint endeavor. Little did we comprehend then, the profound impact this union would wield on our lives and the lives of countless others. Subsequently, I had the privilege of meeting Shri Kailash Satyarthi, Nobel Peace Awardee, and became involved with Bachpan Bachao Andolan. On October 17, 1993, I had the honor of residing with the family of Shri Kailash Satyarthi at their residence in Kalkaji, Delhi. Furthermore, Shruti and I met the legendary social worker Shri Shamshad Khan on November 21, 1993, at Mirzapur.

In the spring of 1993, at the tender age of 23, I found myself assuming the mantle of state president for the United Nations of Youth Organization (UNYO), UP chapter. This responsibility imbued me with a profound sense of purpose and ignited a fervent passion for advocating the rights of the marginalized. Our trajectory took a decisive turn in 1994 when I completed my Bachelor's in Ayurveda, Modern Medicine, and Surgery (BAMS), laying the groundwork for our collective mission. However, amidst our endeavors, we encountered a moment of sorrow with the passing of my grandfather, Shri Shanti Kumar Singh, Gandhian, and Freedom Fighter, on March 28, 1993.

The inception of PVCHR in 1996 heralded a pivotal moment in our lives—an embodiment of our unwavering commitment to championing the rights of the marginalized. With unwavering dedication and resilience, we embarked on a journey to forge a more just and equitable society, where every voice resonated.

In January 1998, while standing on foreign soil in Manila, participating in the Global March against Child Labor, the universe bestowed upon us another precious gift—our son, Kabeer Karunik. His arrival infused our lives with boundless joy and renewed purpose, reaffirming our dedication to creating a world where every child could aspire and thrive.

Today, as we commemorate 32 years of companionship, the universe has conspired to shower us with unexpected blessings. The arrival of roses and a painting by the renowned artist Mr. Dheerendra Sisodia fills our hearts with gratitude, serving as a poignant reminder of the love and support enveloping us. Amidst the jubilations, a new family member, Mr. Bhairav, graces our photographs, symbolizing the ever-expanding circle of love and solidarity.

Reflecting on this extraordinary journey, I am inundated with profound gratitude for the love, support, and unwavering companionship of Shruti. Together, we have weathered storms, scaled mountains, and carved a path of resilience and dedication. Happy Anniversary of life partnership, my beloved Shruti. Here's to many more years of love, activism, and shared dreams.
